Thousands of lockdown protesters, refusing to wear masks, have been condemned this afternoon after their violent stunt shut down central Sydney. They attacked police and their horses, calling for 'freedom' from COVID restrictions. Dozens have been arrested. Police now fear it will become a Delta super spreader event. It comes on a day that COVID-19 numbers soared to a new record; 163 cases, 45 of them infectious in the community.
